If you own an Audi in Chula Vista or South Bay San Diego, we’d be glad to take care of it. Audi service is one of our particular strengths — but we work on all makes here, so you can bring the family’s other car too. This post is a plain look at how we approach Audi service at our shop on Main Street.

Tools we use

Audis live on a big internal network — engine, transmission, infotainment, driver-assist, body modules — and a useful scan tool needs to see all of it. We use the manufacturer-spec software (ODIS / VCDS) that’s appropriate for the platform. A full scan looks at every module on the car, not just the one that triggered the warning light. That context is often what tells us what’s actually going on.

Parts and fluids

Audis are particular about what goes in them, especially fluids. We use the correct part and the correctly-certified fluid for each specific Audi. Oils with the right VW/Audi spec, the correct DSG fluid for the transmission variant, the right brake fluid spec. Sometimes that’s OEM, sometimes it’s a quality alternative — always the right call for that car. Part numbers go on your invoice.

Coding, adaptations, and resets

Many Audi repairs require a coding or adaptation step after the part is installed. New battery, new throttle body, certain sensors — they all need the right reset or relearn procedure for the car to behave correctly. We do those in-house. Every car needs the reset or relearn procedure it calls for.

What we work on

We work on Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Land Rover, Jaguar — European service is a particular strength of ours — and all Asian and domestic makes. We do not service diesel engines, and we don’t do bodywork or paint (we can refer you out for those).

Warranty

Our work is backed by a 12-month / 12,000-mile warranty. We perform warranty work in-house.
