Electrical Diagnostics

Electrical fault diagnosis for every make we service. Failing sensors, wiring shorts, parasitic draws, module communication — we find the cause.

Electrical faults take real diagnosis

Modern vehicles contain a lot of control modules communicating over internal networks. An electrical fault can show up as a warning light, an intermittent no-start, a dead window, or a draining battery — and the symptom rarely points straight at the cause.

OREC Imports uses manufacturer-spec diagnostic platforms to read module-to-module communication, review coding, and perform guided test procedures specific to the vehicle.

What we diagnose

  • Battery drain (parasitic draw) — systematic current draw testing to isolate which module or circuit is at fault
  • CAN bus faults — communication errors between modules
  • Sensor failures — MAF, MAP, O2, knock, crankshaft/camshaft position, ABS, and more
  • Comfort and convenience systems — windows, sunroof, central locking, mirrors
  • Instrument cluster and gauge faults
  • Lighting system faults — adaptive headlights, LED driver failures
  • Climate control module and blend door actuator faults

Our electrical diagnostic process

  1. Vehicle scan — all modules, all fault codes, all live data
  2. Wiring diagram review with factory wiring diagram access for the makes we service
  3. Component testing: voltage, resistance, signal integrity
  4. Written report with root cause, recommended repair, and parts estimate

We don’t replace parts hoping something works. Every repair starts with a confirmed diagnosis.
