Vehicle Inspections

Pre-purchase vehicle inspections and multi-point inspections. Know exactly what you're buying before you sign.

Pre-purchase inspection

A pre-purchase inspection is a generic check we perform before you buy a used vehicle. It is not a diagnostic — a diagnostic is a separate, different service that goes deeper into a specific problem.

What our pre-purchase inspection includes

  • Scan of all modules
  • Check of fluid levels
  • Check for leaks
  • Brakes
  • Tires
  • Service records review
  • Carfax service history
  • Test drive
  • Cooling system: check condition, then check operation

If you need a deeper look at the cooling system beyond condition and operation, that’s a separate diagnostic.

We provide a written report with photos so you have documentation before any negotiation.

Multi-point digital inspection (complimentary with every service)

Every vehicle we service receives a complimentary multi-point digital inspection:

SystemItems Checked
BrakesPad thickness (mm), rotor condition, caliper function
TiresTread depth, pressure, wear pattern, sidewall condition
FluidsOil, coolant, brake, power steering, washer
Belts/HosesVisual condition, tension
LightsAll exterior and interior lights
SuspensionShock/strut condition, CV boot integrity, wheel bearing play
FiltersAir filter, cabin filter

Results are sent to your phone as a digital report with photos.

Every make we service

We inspect Asian, domestic, and European vehicles alike. The local community drives all of them, and every one of them is welcome here.

European vehicles are a particular strength of ours. Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Land Rover, and Jaguar run more modules than average, so a module scan is a meaningful part of the inspection rather than a formality — a car can present well in the bay and still be reporting stored faults internally. We use manufacturer-spec diagnostic tools so we can see all of it. We do not service diesel engines.

Why buy-side inspections are worth doing first

A used vehicle is a set of decisions somebody else already made — how it was maintained, what was repaired, what was deferred. A pre-purchase inspection gives you a look at the results of those decisions before they become yours.

We check what the modules report, what the fluids look like, whether anything is leaking, the condition of the brakes and tires, the service records and Carfax history, and how the vehicle behaves on a test drive. Then we write it down and hand it to you.

We have no stake in whether you buy the car. The report says what we found.

What happens if we find something

We show you, with photos, and explain in plain language what it is and what it affects. Then it is your call — whether that means walking away, negotiating, or going ahead knowing what you are taking on.

If something needs a deeper look than a general inspection covers, we will say so and explain that a diagnostic is a separate service. We would rather be clear about that up front than let a general check be mistaken for a deep one.

The inspection that comes with every visit

You do not have to ask for the multi-point inspection — it comes with every service, at no additional charge, and the report goes to your phone with photos.

All maintenance is priority. Looking at the whole car every time is how small things stay small, and it is why we do it whether you came in for an oil change or something larger.

Our warranty

Repair work that follows an inspection is backed by a 12-month / 12,000-mile warranty, and we perform warranty work in-house.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a pre-purchase inspection and a diagnostic?
A pre-purchase inspection is a general check that tells you the overall condition of a vehicle you are considering buying. A diagnostic is a separate, different service — it is what we do when something specific is wrong and we need to go deep on one system. A PPI can tell you that a system is worth a closer look; the closer look itself is a diagnostic.
Can I bring a car I am thinking about buying?
Yes, that is exactly what the pre-purchase inspection is for. Bring it in before you sign anything and we will give you a clear, unbiased look at what you are getting into, with a written report and photos.
Do I get anything in writing?
Yes. Pre-purchase inspections come with a written report and photos, so you have documentation before any negotiation. The complimentary multi-point inspection that comes with every service is sent to your phone as a digital report with photos.
What does the complimentary multi-point inspection cover?
Brakes, tires, fluids, belts and hoses, lights, suspension, and filters. It comes with every vehicle we service, at no additional charge, and the results are sent to your phone.
Do you inspect all makes?
Yes — Asian, domestic, and European vehicles alike, and European service is a particular strength of ours. We do not service diesel engines.
